Vedic astrology, also known as Jyotish, is an ancient system of astrology originating in India. It is deeply rooted in the Vedas, the oldest scriptures of Hinduism, and has been practised for thousands of years. Unlike Western astrology, which primarily focuses on the position of the Sun at the time of birth, Vedic astrology takes into account the positions of the Moon, Sun, and other celestial bodies.
